What is the difference between beginner private coaching and swim lessons?Private coaching and swim lessons serve different purposes in the realm of aquatic education. While recreational swim lessons primarily focus on water safety and basic swimming skills to prevent drowning, our private coaching at SwimX takes a distinct approach. In our private coaching sessions, we delve into the fundamentals and foundational skills that competitive swimmers typically learn in developmental groups on their teams. We believe that instilling these foundational skills is immensely beneficial for swimmers, fostering a deeper understanding of the sport and promoting long-term success. Our curriculum for beginner private coaching is rooted in competitive swimming foundational skills, setting our coaching apart from traditional swim lessons. Rather than solely concentrating on preventing drowning, we aim to expand the swimming community by encouraging more individuals, especially children, to explore the amazing sport of swimming. Our goal is to help swimmers not only become water-safe but to excel in the pool, regardless of their swimming aspirations. We are confident that our private coaching methods guarantee increased confidence and ability in the water, providing a pathway for swimmers to reach their goals and embrace the full potential of swimming as a lifelong skill and sport.

Is SwimX a swim club?SwimX is not a swim club in the traditional sense. Instead, we serve as a supplementary resource to enhance your everyday training. Our focus is on refining and improving technique. While we provide valuable insights and guidance, it is ultimately up to the swimmer to integrate this knowledge into their regular training routine. We empower swimmers to be mindful of habits, make necessary adjustments, and cultivate good habits based on the technical aspects they learn with SwimX.

What equipment do I need for private coaching or swim lessons? For private coaching or swim lessons, the equipment needed depends on the nature of the session: For Technical Analysis Sessions: Please bring your equipment bag. While not mandatory, having fins, paddles, a pull buoy, and a snorkel can enhance the session, especially if the coach deems it necessary to use specific equipment. Additionally, don't forget your cap and goggles. For Beginner Private Coaching Sessions: If you're a beginner coming for private coaching, simply bring your cap and goggles. Can I observe my child's private coaching session or swim lesson?Absolutely! Parents are always welcome to observe their child's private coaching session or swim lesson. We understand that many parents are interested in learning more about swimming, and we encourage their participation in the learning process. However, if you're unable to watch, that's completely fine as well. It's worth noting that if your child tends to be easily distracted by your presence, we recommend giving them the space to fully immerse themselves in the lesson without any distractions. This is especially common with younger participants. If you choose to watch, we kindly ask that you refrain from interacting with your child during the lesson to ensure they receive the maximum benefit and attention during our session time. Your cooperation helps create an optimal learning environment for everyone involved.
